Gypsy Coursing

Gypsy

Gypsy was purchased from a "Back Yard" Breeder

Gypsy's Parents:

KaBar’s Bender Lapin Garlett x Breez-Omar Belame Jubillee RM

My mother, like so many other mothers in the universe, cursed me to have a daughter just like me. “I’ll fool her,” I thought, “I’m not having kids, just dogs!” Ha! The joke was on me. Gypsy is just like me. She's stubborn, picky, and a girl who has her own plans!

From the time Gypsy came home she demanded attention, and needed socialization. The woman who sold Gypsy to me, was not a reputable breeder or hobby breeder. She is what is commonly referred to as a “Back Yard Breeder.” These are people who don’t really know or even care to know much about the breed they have chosen beyond the scope of their own back yard. They do not health test, nor select for temperament. Often little or no socialization is provided for their puppies.

When Gypsy first came to live with me, she would often use my hands (or anything else she could get hold of) as chew-toys. She was rather nasty-tempered but very bright. A dangerous combination.

In early August 2003 Gypsy and Brenna got into a rather intense dog fight.  Due to complications from that disagreement Doctor Julie and I were with Gypsy as she passed over the Rainbow Bridge.  May she truly find peace at last.
