Misty was shown only once or twice as a six-month-old and she was really still very
immature and was too young to stand up to the tough mid-west competition at the
time. Rather than pursue a frustrating venture at the time, we put Misty
away to "grow up" a bit. When the time came that Misty became competitive,
the owner had a change in lifestyle that didn't suit dog-showing for a while.
Now that Misty is grown up and so are the owner's kids (getting there
anyway!), Misty tackled the show ring again. Although the Judge stopped
Misty's handler in the ring and told her how much she liked her, she needed to
get back to a ring class. Misty was out of the habit of being a show dog!
Misty had puppies this year (Winter 2005), go to the Keltwyn Whelping
Box for more information.
